   Replacement Circuit Breakers

CODE INFORMATION
Circuit
Breaker protection is one of many safety requirements determined by the National Electric Code (NEC). These requirements are prepared by a committee from various insurance, electrical and architectural sectors. The code itself is sponsored by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). Any user of the NEC should consult applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, as these codes supersede the National Code.

BREAKER INTRODUCTION
Circuit breaker load
centers (panels, panel boards) as well as fuse boxes are used to control the electricity coming into a home or building. Breakers are intended to trip, or turn off, when too much electricity enters the circuit. When a breaker consistently trips, the underlying reason should be rectified.

The industry consists of many brand of panels - some obsolete and some new. In some cases the breaker is manufactured to fit into only its corresponding load
center.  In other cases, a breaker can mechanically fit into many different brand load centers.
